Are Pastors Really The Problem?

Not sure if this is the right title, but for a lack of better one, I will stick with this… The title I had when I started out writing this post was “They that know their God” by the time I was done, I realised that I had over a 1,600+ words so I thought I would split this into 2 posts, and because the initial title didn’t come up at all, I had to find a title for this post. Now that the explanation is out of the way let’s get right into it, shall we…

It just seems like every time I get on social media these days, there is one thing or the other about religion, faith, and pastors. A lot are both for and against, some even have squads they tag to fight their battles when someone doesn’t agree with their point of view.

I was so angry in my spirit, and I am like God…, what is all these, why is there so much Ignorance and division in the body of Christ. But, it’s stale news saying “Some men of God are fake” or they are working for their personal interest. Jesus said it already in Matthew 7: 23  ” Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness. Apostle Paul mentioned it when he was talking to the Corinthians church in 2Corinthians 11. So why does all of a sudden this seems like a big news and it’s causing so much divide and some even losing their faith.

I read a lady’s comment in one of those threads (that believes if you are still going to church or not criticising or judging pastors for their wrong doing you are being brainwashed) saying her 70+ grandma stopped going to church because of this so called fake men of god and her grandmother has been a devout Christian all her life. However, the thing that strikes me the most though about this threads, is that almost everyone is guilty of what they are accusing the next person of doing.

Let me play a scenario for you just in case you were wondering; Mrs A comes up to criticise Pastor A. Christian A based on his spiritual knowledge says Mrs A, there are better ways you can do this. Mrs A claps back at Christian A for being blind and brainwashed because Christian A doesn’t agree with her point of view. Mrs A’s follower also joins Mrs A in clapping back at Christian A, at this point Christian A’s supporters weighs in and the circle never stops…

My question is this? Why does Mrs A & Follower A feel they have the right to judge/give constructive criticism (like some will call it) and can’t have it when another is doing same? Why does Christian A & Supporter A asks that Pastor A be reprimanded in Love, and they end up doing the opposite when it comes to Mrs A & her followers? #justsaying but that’s beside the point…

Here’s the point, take a good look at the scenario, how many times did Pastor A come up? Just, once right? Because really in the end, it’s not about the Pastors! It really is about us. Their actions or inactions is just used as a bait to distract us and keep us off focus; a battle to turn you into what you are not, believe otherwise and ultimately lose your faith.

This is why some will leave such thread with huge resentment towards someone they barely know, some go as far as raining curses over an entire generation and some even wish others dead!!! Dear Brothers and Sisters, our common and only enemy is not the pastor, it’s not Follower A or Supporter A, it’s the Devil! Biko don’t be ignorant of his devices, Abi how do you think he plans to Kill, Steal, and Destroy? Have you ever given it a thought, as to what he is really out to steal from you and how he would? #foodforthought

The truth is, because we are humans, we will all make mistakes, whether you are a man of God or not. Whilst it’s true that leaders of institutions should be held to a higher standard and be accountable for most actions/decisions. It really doesn’t give us the moral standing to judge and cast the first stone, because we aren’t without sin ourselves. John 8:7. And the truth is, we all won’t be judged on the last day by the number of men of God we judged, we may as well start to put our talents to good use…

If the intention is to correct and not condemn or disgrace, please do so in private. From personal experience that’s how you get genuine repentance and Jesus demonstrated that here as well John 8:11. And if you so desire to do it Publicly, do so in Love.

If the goal is to point people towards Christ please by all means Preach Jesus and not what another person/preacher is doing wrong.

Finally, as children of God let us be guided by this verse of the scriptures Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers”. #selah.

Till my next post; Keep Seeking

I actually read the post you used as a reference and I was truly sad at how we have honestly been brainwashed and blinded towards the true gospel. The devil has actually realized the best way to drive Christians off track true dis unity.

I almost commented under that lady’s post but had to restrain myself. Fake, selfish, wolf pastors is not news. We as Christians are not expected to serve GOD because of ‘Our Pastor’ !!!!!!!!!! I think the problem is we have become LAZY!!!!!!! No one wants to have a direct relationship with GOD through JESUS,we want an intermediary to read the bible for us,translate and give us the microwaved info.

May we focus on the things that matter in JESUS name.

Preach on babe! True righteousness only comes from God, the rest is stemmed fro our flesh and only leads to destruction, quarrels, competition, murmuring, bitterness … by their fruits we know them. Thanks a lot for sharing this, it’s very close to my heart
