So, in the spirit of Valentine my friend asked that we release Episode 3 of Crossroads 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 So here you have it guys, Episode 3 of Crossroads. If this is the first time of reading this series you might want to read Episode One and Two first.
Anna turned off the ignition of her car, her eyes going to the clock on the dashboard. It was 12:05 a.m. It had taken her only twenty minutes to drive from her sister’s apartment to her house, a trip that would normally take about forty-five minutes to an hour during the day.
She picked her purse and alighted from the car, automatically locking it with her key. She let herself into the house, a smile on her face as she thought of the party she had just left. What was supposed to be a small get together had turned to a full-fledged party with colleagues and friends showing up, thanks to her sister’s flat mates.
She shook her head in wonder at the stunt the two girls had pulled on her sister as she made her way upstairs, removing her shoes to make sure she didn’t disturb the quietness that blanketed the house. Carefully opening the door to the bedroom she still shared with her husband, she walked in and stared, shocked to find her husband still awake, dressed in a white t-shirt and boxers. He was on his feet as if he had been waiting for her.
“Didn’t you see my missed calls?” He demanded as she shut the door behind her.
“No,” she answered with a slight frown. She had kept her phone in her purse and with the loud music blaring from the speakers, it was impossible for her to have heard.
“Where the hell are you coming from?”
There was something about the way he asked the question that told her it was in her best interest to tell him the truth rather than play games with him.
“Kewe’s house. It’s her birthday.”
“Did you go there before you went to the club or after?”
“I didn’t go to any club,” Anna replied defensively as she dropped her shoes on the floor then walked to the dresser and began to remove her accessories.
“So why didn’t you pick my calls?”
Anna rolled her eyes as she replied. “It’s a party Ike. I didn’t hear my phone ringing.’
“Don’t speak to me like that!” He stated harshly, glaring at her.
Anna turned to face him, getting upset. “Speak to you like how, Ike?”
“In a condescending tone. I am your husband, not one of…”
“Hummph! Really?” She said derisively, cutting him short as she turned back to the dresser.
Ike advanced towards her, stormy clouds gathering on his face at her reaction. Without thinking, he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her towards him, gritting his teeth in anger. “What the hell is that supposed to mean? I’m suddenly not man enough to be your husband?”
“What has come over you?” Anna demanded in exasperation. “Let me go!’
“What? You can’t stand my touch?”
“Yes Ike!” She stated viciously, unknowingly upsetting her husband more.
“Is that so?” Ike retorted pushing her to the massive bed in the middle of the room and removing his boxers.
Anna stared, her brows furrowing together in a question. “What are you doing?”
“What does it look like?” Ike returned as he climbed on the bed, reaching for her.
