Today I thought I would share with you guys my double wahala for deady body experience …
It started on black Friday, I went to one of the malls to help my sister get a Laptop. What was supposed to be a laptop hunt, became a bag shopping spree. Just before you roll your eyes, tell me, will you pass on a buy one get one free offer, especially when it’s an opportunity for you to pick a bag you’ve had a love affair with from the very first time you saw it?. Oh ooo! my point exactly….
With this bag, it was love at first sight! however I couldn’t just pick it the first time I saw it, because, I had committed to managing my finances better, (after reading the smart money woman) so it was a no buy for me, except I really needed it, which to be honest I didn’t (but from that day, that bag just rent apartment for my head *covers face*).
As fate, would have it, the store was doing a buy one get one free sales, and there was my bag sitting pretty on the shelf, but one of the studs was out and it was the last man standing…. you will think that will stop me right, for where? It didn’t. I picked it with another bag with the hopes of exchanging it at any of the stores outlets, as the sales guy had assured me.
The hunt for exchange started, every outlet kept referring me to the next as they were sold out, so I got tired and asked for an exchange. It was at this point I was told I needed to go back to the very store I picked the bag up and this was after I had spent like over 45 mins at this store…. You can imagine my frustration already.
The next day I headed to the store, with the hope of picking something else and walk out “jejely” but little did I know I was in for some surprise. I was told after picking the replacement bag, that I was going to pay extra for the new bag as the sales is over and doesn’t apply to the new bag. To cut the long story short, I had to pay the difference ooo despite my plenty grammar! (insert angry face).
Now to the real double wahala! because I left the store so angry! instead of taking the tram jeje to my house, I got outside the mall and took a cab. We haven’t moved far when I checked the meter, and I was like oh my God! which kin double wahala be this? shey paying extra for the bag is not enough? now I have to pay triple the normal cab price? (this is the kuku kill me part…lol)
Asides from the very important life lessons this whole process taught me, (which I would be sharing soon) I love my new bag, and didn’t miss letting the other one go. Oh did I mention she commands a lot if stare and compliments when we are out together #proudmoments 😂
Till my next post stay away from Wahala.
