How To Style A One Shoulder Dress.

Fashion, Outfits

Just make the best use of what you have…

Hi Lovelies, This is my second outfit post for the blog whop! whop! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 in case you missed the first check it here.

Since the shoulder baring outfits (One Shoulder, Off the Shoulder, Cold Shoulder) are pretty much one of the top fashion trends this season. So I thought I should share with you on today’s post how to style a one shoulder dress ( It doesn’t matter if it’s the cold or off shoulder piece you have, the concept applies to all).

The shoulder baring outfits are actually quite versatile; there are so many ways you can incorporate this trend into your closet depending on the accessories, they can be dressed up or made to look super casual. No matter what your individual style is ( whether you are into the super sexy vibes, classy, “conservative”, name it…) they work for everyone.

Although, they expose a little skin, they don’t bare it all. And with the right accessories and elements, you can easily transform this piece into a Formal or Casual wear.

STYLE 1 : KEEP IT PROFESSIONAL…

All you really need to transform your seemingly casual outfit to business or office compliant is your Blazer. Did I just hear you say you don’t have one? Ehn! that’s the number one fashion essential you need in your closet. You can always count on your blazers to come to the rescue on those days you heading to a last minute event with no idea of what to wear.

Your pretty simple shoulder-baring outfits can easily be worn to meetings, events or office when creatively paired  with a blazer, heels and a cute bag.

 STYLE 2 : LET’S GET CASUAL…

On the flip, with a buttoned-down denim shirt  and a pair of Sneakers or flats you can keep this look easy and chic for an effortless casual day wear. Pairing a One shoulder dress this way, changes the outfit completely as it gives an illusion of  a two piece outfit; a top and skirt, how nice! ( feels like buy one get one free 😆😆)

STYLE 3 : BEACH PLEASE…

To be honest, when I was planning this post, this wasn’t the part of the plan. I had another outfit completely planned for the beach, I had left home before I realised I didn’t take the complete outfit and it was too late to go back. So, I decided to make the best use of what was available and viola, it looked so good, one wouldn’t believe it wasn’t planned out.

So now you know, that beach wear and style is not restricted to bikinis and rompers. (depending on what you’re doing at the beach. If you’re tanning and taking a dip, of course you need a swimsuit)  but if you’re traveling and exploring like me you can wear any of your shoulder-baring dress to the beach.
